How to apply
At Leek College, we aim to
make your entry to further
education as smooth and as
easy as possible. Free and
impartial advice on any course
or programme of study that you
may be interested in will be
available from our Information
and Admissions Centre. Leek
College actively pursues equality
of opportunity. The College is
open to all applicants who meet
our entry requirements and
would benefit from a course of
study that we offer.
First step
The first step is to find out about your options for
further study or training. These include attending
college, starting a training scheme or going directly
into employment. Our Information and Admissions
Centre will provide information and will point you in the
right direction if Leek College cannot offer a particular
programme of study. Connexions will also give you
free and impartial advice.
Second step
When you have decided on your possible areas of
study, contact us by telephone, e-mail or call into our
Information and Admissions Centre. To gain a place you
should complete an application form and return it to us
as soon as possible.
Interview
We will invite you to the College for an informal interview
and a tour of our facilities. We will discuss a proposed
programme of study to suit your needs and aspirations
and make sure that you are happy with the courses
offered. Acceptance onto the course may depend upon
your examination results and references.
Offer
If you decide to accept an offer of a place, it will be reserved
for you. You may change your mind if you wish. We will then
keep in contact with you and give you the relevant information
before you start your course.
Specialist advice
Leek College offers specialist advice as soon as GCSE and A
Level results are released, in association with Connexions and
Staffordshire University.
Late applications
Early application is advised for our courses as places are
limited. However there is strictly no time limit for applications,
so please do not feel that it is too late.
