Skillsbase is a Work Based Learning approved Training Provider, whose staff are here to assist with the recruitment, training and progression of young people in your organisation.
Each of our Apprenticeship Programmes is the responsibility of a designated Training Co-ordinator who will be your contact, providing guidance and answering any queries you may have.
We offer the following programme areas:-

- Children's Care Learning & Development
- Engineering
- Laboratory Technicians
- Carpentry & Joinery
- Office & Business
- Hairdressing
- Information Technology
We are looking for placements for Apprentices (between the ages of 16-24 years) with employers who are able to offer:-
- Work experience and training to a young person to enable them to learn the skills required to gain their qualification
- Time, guidance and support for the Apprentice
- Commitment to their progression at College (if applicable)
- A realistic wage
What role does skillsbase play?
- Assist with recruitment and selection of young people
- Provide an induction course for the learning programme and working environment
- Arrange an appropriate learning programme to suit the young person and fulfil the needs of the placement
- Provide continual monitoring and assessment of the learner’s progress throughout the learning programme
