Comic Relief 2011 Raft Race
Students and staff from Leek College took part in a sponsored raft building contest at
Rudyard Lake on Friday 18th March at 11am, in aid of Comic Relief.
Various groups got involved from Public Services, Sport, Travel & Tourism and Health & Social Care, and they had to make their very own raft with just barrels and rope before taking part in a 25-metre race across the lake.
The event was organised by sports lecturer Shane Beckensall and equipment provided by Upper Limits the College’s own outdoor pursuits centre.
