Involving people

It is recognised that the involvement of a variety of people is critical to the success of equality schemes. Employees and their representatives have been consulted on the development of the College’s schemes through HRDG. Disabled staff and students have contributed directly through comments made in satisfaction surveys, focus groups and feedback from local Special Schools.
This Single Equality Scheme arises from the work of a sub group of the College’s Equal & Diversity Committee which has received input from staff and students, men and women, disabled people, and people from ethnic minorities through user focus groups.
