Whatever you choice of study we offer facilities at the Leek Campus that are
unrivalled locally. These include open access to leading edge computer facilities,
supported by colour printing, scanners, super fast microwave links to the world
wide web, video conferencing and e-mail.
Our specialist accommodation includes provision for sport, caring, travel and
tourism, hairdressing and beauty and computing to name but a few!
New Building Project
The Leek Campus has invested £2.5 million in new teaching facilities which
officially opened in September 2006. The new ‘state of the art’ facilities provides
high quality professional level salons for the Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy
provision and additional general teaching facilities for Care and Travel, Tourism
and Sports courses
Learning Resource Centre
Our high-tech LRC puts you directly in touch with the world of learning via the
intranet and internet. There is access to internet, online databases and journals
as well as the traditional books, videos, magazines and newspapers. There are
PCs for students to use with mono and colour printing and photocopying available.
Scanning and binding services are also provided. There is also a quiet study room
for when total concentration is required.
Carr Gymnasium
The Carr Gymnasium contains state of the art equipment including jogging, cycling
step and rowing machines plus a full set of exercise equipment and free weights.
We have a College football and netball teams who compete in the West Midlands
Under 19 League.
‘Bodyworks’ Salon
Our fully equipped hair and beauty salon, ‘Bodyworks’ is a working salon which is
open to the public. It offers a range of hair, beauty and holistic therapy treatments
including waxing, manicures, facials, hair styling, electrical treatments,
aromatherapy and reflexology. In addition it has a sauna and a steam room. All
facilities are new and to an extremely high industrial standard.
Trading Post
The Trading Post is a social area for students that provides hot and cold snacks,
sandwiches, drinks, confectionery and low priced stationery. Vending machines
provide catering services when the Trading Post is closed.
